Ficosa, a global provider of vision solutions for the automotive sector, has reached a new industrial milestone by surpassing 30 million cameras manufactured since 2014, the year it launched this business line. Furthermore, in the 2024 fiscal year, the company produced more than 33,000 cameras daily, its highest figure recorded to date.
This growth solidifies Ficosa’s position as a key player in the automotive vision market, both nationally and internationally. The company develops and manufactures high-precision cameras in Barcelona, China, Morocco, and the Philippines, contributing to the evolution of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and the future of autonomous mobility.

To reinforce its leadership in the development of CMS (Camera Monitoring Systems), a solution that replaces traditional rearview mirrors with high-precision cameras and interior screens, Ficosa has announced the expansion of its Mirrorless business line to the commercial vehicle segment. In doing so, the company will transfer its expertise in camera-based rear-view systems to sectors such as trucking.
In this field, Ficosa marked an industry milestone in 2018 with the development and production of the digital rearview mirror for the Audi e-tron, the first vehicle on the market equipped with this technology. Since then, the company has consolidated its expertise, collaborating with top-tier manufacturers and integrating 360º vision systems that combine cameras, electronic control units (ECUs), and high-definition screens.
Vision, a key to the mobility of the future
The increase in Ficosa’s camera production responds to the growing demand for vision technologies in the automotive sector, which are fundamental for improving the safety of the vehicle and its surroundings. These solutions enable advanced functions such as pedestrian detection, driver monitoring, and 360º perimeter vision.
Ficosa has developed a wide range of vision solutions for both the interior and exterior of the vehicle. Notable among them are its In-Cabin Monitoring systems, aimed at detecting driver fatigue and distraction, as well as its perimeter vision solutions designed to facilitate maneuvering and reinforce road safety.
In the automotive sector, cameras have become a key element in the evolution of modern vehicles.
