The Ficosa Commercial Vehicle Division, headquartered in Germany, has launched to the market the first integrated mirror system for Agricultural Machinery.
Currently all Agricultural Machines, such as Tractors, are equipped with mirrors according to Regulation 74/346/EEC. However, just a main mirror does not give optimal view on areas around these Vehicles, leaving huge Blind Spots which could prove fatal. This is why some of the biggest Machines already feature additional Ficosa Wide Angle Mirrors, but only to a very low extent. After a series of Field of View Simulations and Prototypes, the Development and Supplier Contract for the innovative Mirror System integrating Main Mirror and Wide Angle Mirror Glasses in one single Mirror Housing was awarded to Ficosa Commercial Vehicle.This new generation of mirrors for Agricultural Machineries provides a higher comfort and improves the security for the drivers.
